La Plagne is part of the Tarentaise Region which is served by a number of different transport links throughout the year so you can choose your travel mode and get there easily any time of the year. Travel to La Plagne could not be easier!
Travel to La Plagne By Road
The area has easy access by road and is approximately 600 miles (975km) from Calais using the toll motorways – all but the last 20kms is by motorway or dual carriageway. Access is also easy from all over Europe – the motorway network is excellent to Southern areas such as Spain and the South of France (via Valence). To the Netherlands and Belgium driving is also easy (via Metz/Nancy). For those in Germany, the best route would be via Switzerland. From Italy, arriving is easy via the Frejus Tunnel from Turin.
By Rail
The international railway station of Aime la Plagne is approximately 15 minutes from our properties in La Plagne. The station is served by the direct Eurostar “Ski Train” from the UK during the ski season with both overnight and daytime services. In addition, TGV and other high speed rail services from all over Europe are available all year round.
Or By Air Transport
There are four airports serving the area : Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon or Chambery. All these airports normally offer flights by a number of budget airlines, charter and scheduled services from all over Europe. Geneva is a major international hub with flights from all over the world. Flight prices obviously climb during the ski season – but mainly only on Saturdays. There are several transfer services operating from the airports including minibus transfers and a scheduled coach service.

Chambery – 1.5 hours
Lyon – 3 hours
Grenoble – 3 hours
