The owners of this website are Ed and Christine van Zadelhoff who are joint directors or partners of the businesses mentioned below. We own all the properties advertised on this website through different business entities:

  • SCI Christine – company registered at RCS Annecy under SIREN 419 489 521 – owns Chalet Christine
  • Indivision Metcalfe van Zadelhoff (a partnership) – registered at RCS Chambery under SIREN 442 237 681 – owns the building plot

Commenting has been disabled on this site and as a result no visitor data is collected in this manner. If you wish to make a comment about our site, please use the contact form or our email address.

Media

There is no facility for users to upload images or other media to our website. All images contained on this site are copyrighted and may not be copied without the permission of the site owners.

Contact forms

We provide a contact form on our site. If you complete this form, we will store the data contained therein (name, email address, postal address, telephone number, interests and message) only for the purposes of responding to your enquiry regarding the property for sale or the subject contained in your message.  Your data will never be provided to any party other than the owners of this site. The contact form also records your IP address and as a result your location, which is stored with your other personal data above to prevent fraudulent activity.

When you complete the contact form on our site, this form will be processed using Everest Forms software.  We may add additional fields to our form in the future in which case the fields will be clear to you and will be handled in the same way as detailed here.

We may also use cookies to keep track of form elements while you’re browsing our site.

Mailing Lists

Your data may be added to our mailing list for marketing or any other purposes, including sending of occasional mailings. Our mailing list is managed by us using Mailchimp cloud application. Our mailing list remains confidential at all times and will never be sold or otherwise provided to any third party. You may unsubscribe from any mailing list using the “unsubscribe” link contained in every newsletter or by emailing us directly at any time.

Cookies

We do not have any member areas or login to our site. The site is informational only and we do not collect any personal data from you unless you complete an enquiry form. Your own browser settings may store a cookie on your computer if you choose to remember or bookmark our site, and in your internet usage history files, but this data is not available to us.

Website analytics software is activated on our site for the purposes of monitoring the volume of site visitors, their location, type of access device and the activity on our site. The site analytics do not record any personal data about you and are use for our own site development and marketing purposes only. The software we use for this purpose is Google Analytics and JetPack.

When you update your preferences or unsubscribe from our newsletter mailing, Mailchimp may place a “pixel” on your computer to record your preferences and ensure we do not send you email by mistake. Mailchimp is also connected to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and if you sign up for our property related mailings via one of these social media sites, these platforms may place a cookie or pixel on your computer which is outside of our control.

We use off-the-shelf web design, privacy and security tools (WordPress, Akismet and Jetpack) for the management and protection of our site.  We also employ firewall software and automated SPAM detection.  These tools may collect some basic functional cookies but do not collect personal data such as name or address as you will not be logged in to our site at any time.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. This collection of data is not within our control or available to us.

Where your data is sent

If you are from the European Union or United Kingdom, you should be aware that your data may be used, stored and processed by us outside of the European Union and the UK.  This is by nature of the fact that we may be working anywhere in the world.  In addition, our in-house web servers are hosted in the United States.  Our systems apply the same efforts to keep your data secure regardless of where that data is and no third party has access to it.

If you send us a message, the message and its metadata are retained for as long as it is needed for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.

What rights you have over your data

If you have made contact with us via our website, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please contact us by email if you wish to request your file from us.

Messages and emails may be checked through an automated spam detection service and anti-virus software.
